Thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs), explained.
A thermostatic mixing valve blends hot and cold water to a set, safe temperature at the outlet. If the cold supply fails, it shuts off the hot water to prevent scalding.
TMVs need regular servicing and temperature testing. We install new valves, service existing ones and keep the records.

How often do TMVs need servicing?
At least once a year. Australian Standard AS 4032.3 sets the testing and maintenance rules, and some facilities need more frequent checks.
Can you service all the valves in our building?

What's the difference between a TMV and a tempering valve?
A TMV is more precise and has a fail-safe shut-off. Care facilities usually need TMVs.
